Dr. Joe Thibodeau
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Dr. Thibodeau graduated medical school at the University of Nebraska in 2001. After marrying his childhood sweetheart, he moved to Tucson for Internal Medicine training at the University of Arizona. Dr. Thibodeau was then offered a Cardiology Fellowship which he completed at Mid America Heart Institute/University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. He and his young family then returned to Omaha where he first joined the Nebraska Heart Institute. Through a variety of health system consolidations and acquisitions, he now works for CHI Nebraska which is part of Common Spirit Health, a system with 142 hospitals in 21 states. Dr. Thibodeau is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine with Creighton University School of Medicine. He spends his days working full time in Invasive Cardiology where he sees patients in clinic, rounds on hospitalized patients, and performs a variety of cardiovascular procedures. He also spends time most days teaching students, residents, and fellows, and is involved in clinical research as an investigator in many past and present clinical trials. Dr. Thibodeau joined Arena Health in late 2020 as the group's first cardiologist.
